MELLOW FLOW
Mellow Flow classes are a slower, simpler flow designed to open your body, release tension, and explore movement throughout your whole system. This class incorporates breathwork, focus, and flexibility to create a balance between a calm mind and a mobile body.
This All Levels class is a combination between moving in a flow and staying in a static position. You stay in a pose just long in enough that you enjoy the pose and are not pushing yourself. A more passive approach to the postures to open the body, quiet the mind and move into a deep sense of relaxation. Gentle yoga is free of competition, judgments, comparison, and no frustration or agitation in holding/doing a pose. A slow process to become aware, slow down, and just be. This class is recommended for those experiencing stress, recovering from injury or illness, and anyone seeking a gentle class to unwind, relax and renew.
BEGINNER HATHA
A Beginner Level class for students who is new to yoga, haven't practiced in awhile, or that do not practice regularly and seeking to continue understanding basic yoga poses. This class focuses on poses that stretch, strengthen the legs, back, core and shoulders with an emphasis to ailment and fundamentals to all the basic yoga poses. Students will be introduced to yoga postures through step-by step verbal description and demonstration. This class also includes modifications to accommodate different levels of flexibility and strength, and longer breath counts between the poses to allow time to transition correctly and safely into each pose.
VINYASA
Vinyasa classes are a strong moving flow that cultivate balance, stability, flexibility, and vigor. Breath awareness and coordination are carried throughout the practice as the asana ebbs and flows between effort and ease.
Intensity levels & personal style varies by each unique teacher.
SLOW VINYASA FLOW
An Introduction to Intermediate Level allows beginners to create their own synchronized dance, while learning poses and how to move, breathe, and stretch between poses. Allowing the elements of time into the practice and is designed to slow down your flow allowing your to become more aware of your body and your breath as you take time in your transitions and hold poses for longer periods of time, making it extremely rewarding. Slow Flow is a wonderful practice that allows the student become familiar with their body, create a reflective pause, and create the time to reflect inward. Slow flow refines and strengthens without feeling rushed creating a therapeutic dance of moving meditation.
STRONG VINYASA FLOW
An Intermediate Level class is high energetic, vigorous class designed to create heat in the body with creative sequences joining the physical asanas with the breath, creating a steady internal rhythm for the practice. Strong flow sequences including: sun salutations, standing, seated postures, back bending, arm balancing, and a strong focus on the power of the breath. Students will be able to refine their skills of exploration of asanas presented and how to the poses can flow together seamlessly by aligning one's breath with movement.
YIN YOGA
Yin classes are quiet, meditative practices with long, deep posture holds. This class uses mindful relaxation within each posture to target the body’s connective tissue and promote the mobilization of fascia. This practice can be tailored to each unique practitioner with the use of props, modified shapes, and mindfulness.
HANSTANDS
Handstands is a weekly class tailored to the students and centered around incorporating Inversions into the asana practice. This class will include skills and drills, flowing sequences, and exercises students can incorporate into their everyday practices. A previous handstand practice is not required to attend this class, this is where we build the tools and expand our baselines.
